Horizontal Shaft Impactor Material Selection Guide
Blow Bar and Hammer Material Selection
① Manganese Steel (Mn14% / Mn18% / MNX50): High impact resistance, suitable for primary crushing containing impurities. MNX50 is our optimized high-performance grade, proven to have a longer service life than standard manganese steel hammers.
② Chromium Iron (Cr20% / Cr26%): High hardness and wear resistance, suitable for general working conditions without impurities. However, note that it is brittle; impurities can cause serious damage.
③ Martensitic Alloy Steel: Combines the impact resistance of manganese steel with the hardness and wear resistance of chromium iron. Commonly used in quarrying and recycling industries, it outperforms manganese steel in abrasive conditions.
④ Chromium Iron + Ceramic Matrix: High-quality composite material with a wear-resistant surface inlaid with hard ceramic alloy, significantly longer service life than standard chromium iron bars. Suitable for secondary crushing, but not suitable for primary crushing or extremely hard materials.
⑤ Martensitic Alloy Steel + Ceramic Matrix: Ceramic inserts + martensitic steel matrix, longer service life than standard martensitic steel bars. Suitable for primary crushing in the recycling industry and quarries, but not suitable for limestone and slag recycling.
